It was another great day for a bike ride, although the ride was a tuff one with 72 miles and 4,000 ft of climbing and took a little over 8 hours. I road with Scott and Mac again all day (we seem to have the same riding style) and with Mercedes for part of the time. The weather was like yesterday cool with overcast skies. We started riding through Port Townsend and on a busy highway for a short time. We then turned onto a 10 mile packed gravel trail that was just beautiful. Throughout the day we road on mostly on busy roads and crossed over a busy bridge. We had a lot of tough, but short hills to climb and fun fast down hills. I had to walk a couple of the stepper longer climbs (Scott and Mac walked with me to keep me company 😃), but I did better then I expected. We stopped at a nice state park at the half way point for a water refill and for lunch and meet up with most of our group. So far the ride has been great and so have my ridding group.
